Joshua Stephenson, 22, of Southeast, DC, was arrested on Friday by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. Stephenson is charged with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated).
On Thursday, November 17, 2022, at approximately 2:53 p.m., the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast, for sounds of gunshots.
Responding officers located Khalil Jones, 25 of Southeast, DC suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, and after finding no signs consistent with life, Khalil Jones remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
