Former Army Sergeant Gets 72 Months In Prison For Fentanyl Distribution

Eri Gutberto Parra-Lopez, 25, of Phoenix, AZ. was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Lee Yeakel to 72 months in prison.

On April 20, 2022, Parra pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of fentanyl.

Between May 2021 and July 2021, Parra, a then an active-duty Army Sergeant stationed at Fort Hood, sold approximately 3,150 tablets of fentanyl, weighing about 3,349 kgs., to undercover officers in and around the Austin area.
